The Greina Alta trek runs from Curaglia (Disentis) to Zervreila (Vals) and is intended for very experienced hikers with high-alpine experience. Fear of heights, good fitness, and navigation skills in alpine terrain are essential!
The tour revolves around the number 3. Hikers cross a unique high-alpine region with 3 SAC huts, 3 cultures, and 3 languages, all under the watch of 3 mighty peaks: Piz Medel, Piz Terri, and Zervreilahorn.
A highlight of the trek is crossing the famous Greina plateau: an absolutely unique high plateau connecting the cantons of Ticino and Graubünden, stretching over six kilometers at an altitude of more than 2200 meters. It is a protected alpine tundra, listed in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments (FOEN), and thus of national importance.
Those interested in the trek can book the entire tour as a package. Recommended start date: depending on snow conditions, preferably from mid-July onwards.
Thanks to our sponsors, we can offer a discount of CHF 15.00 per person for weekday package bookings. For children, the reduction is CHF 9.00. The condition is that the tour starts on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. The week around August 1st is excluded.
